Symptoms of GCA can be mysterious – unless several occur simultaneously each easily may be attributed to reasons other than GCA. Only in retrospect can we see the telltale signs of an illness we knew nothing about then. Even when several struck Pearl at once in a debilitating manner they weren’t recognized as signs of GCA.
