While surfing the internet in November 2000, I found a site named SAVVY that was a Yahoo support group for vasculitis patients and caregivers. It was managed by a man who was afflicted with Churg Strauss Syndrome (CSS). I soon found many GCA patients to communicate with from the US, Canada, England and Australia. The exchange of experiences and information was very helpful in achieving peace of mind and transmitting knowledge. Friendships were made based on mutual needs and anxieties.
